World Blood Donor Day 2021
“Donate often, we need you,” said PAHO Director Carissa F. Etienne during her virtual remarks at PAHO’s June 14 event to mark World Blood Donor Day. She pointed out that young people have been at the forefront of blood donation at a time when it has been difficult to maintain supplies.

For 2021, the World Blood Donor Day slogan was “Give blood and keep the world beating”. This video highlights the essential contribution blood donors make to keeping the world pulsating by saving lives and improving others’ health.
