A laid-off Oberlin custodian who has heard about the 1833 Fund writes:
We all appreciate everything u are doing for us.❤️ Good to know people still do care! I loved my job & really thought I would retire there.
The 1833 Fund is about to start distributing funds to the workers who were treated so shamefully by Oberlin College. Every donation allows us to send just a little more money to help these folks make ends meet while they're searching for decent jobs in the middle of a pandemic. If you'd like your donation to be included when the checks go out, please donate by November 15.
<<First Name>>, according to our records, you pledged <<Donation pledge>>. If this is incorrect or you simply wish to donate a different amount, no worries! Just head over to our donation page.
We understand that some people's circumstances have changed and they may need to donate less than pledged or wait for a later time. But if you're able, please make your donation before November 15. Thank you!
If you've already donated and you got this message, it's probably because our communications crossed or you donated under a different e-mail address than you pledged. As long as you received an e-mail confirmation of your donation, then we received it.
Please feel free to contact us with additional questions.
