Oral Reminiscence

Maura Williamson and Ruth Leonard are currently facilitating an oral reminiscence project in Cavan and Virginia area.

The project funded through Creative Ireland and supported by Cavan arts office, focuses on the value of time spent with older people hearing their stories and providing an opportunity for their creativity to be released.
A night of songs, stories and music from Seán Ó Sé and many more!

Virgina Co. Cavan June Bank Holiday Weekend

The Virginians present two one act plays: 'Regret' by Joe Hanley Friday 31 May and 'Hope' by Rory O'Connell Saturday 1 June, Ramor Theatre 8pm.

Active Virginians have created a Gallery and Craft Exhibition space in The Virginia Show Centre with the help of Community Enhancement funding by Cavan County Council and Lottery funding. This Exhibition features work from 19 artists who participated in a S.I.C.A.P funded 17week programme. The Exhibition will be in situ for the next couple of weeks. Opening hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, phone 049 8547517.

Cavan County Council Arts Office seek the services of an artist facilitator to work with young people on an action research project based on the themes of resilience and emotional literacy. The arts office also requires the services of an arts consultant or continuing professional development facilitator for this project.

The Arts Council have a number of funding opportunities approaching application deadline.

Cootehill Arts Festival are County Winners in the The National Lottery #GoodCausesAwards

It really is a testament to all the hard work the committee and the fantastic volunteers put in to make the festival happen. Next step is regionals - so keep your fingers crossed!!

Artist in Setting : A Response, Dowra Courthouse

Artist Maria Bagnoli's artwork will be on display in Dowra Courthouse from 23 May to 6 June. 
Offical launch 2 June at 2pm, refreshements served and all welcome.
