Dotti Was A Deer Gallery and Studio

Jackie O'Neill has opened a new gallery and studio in Cavan town.
 
The Gallery will open every Thursday & Friday 10am to 7pm (closing 2pm to 3pm for lunch) and every Saturday 10am to 5.30pm (all day).    Appointments can be made Wednesday for private viewing or to order bespoke commissions.

Arts Awards and Professional Development Awards

The 2017 Arts Awards are now open to applications and will be accepted until the closing date of 26 January 2017.   The Professional Development Award for Artists will be open on Monday 16 January at a Registration and Information Session at Johnston Central Library, Farnham Centre, Farnham St, Cavan at 2.30pm.

This modern re-telling of an age-old story of festive redemption sees Ebenezer Scrooge as a tight-fisted Cavan publican in ‘Scrooge and Marley: A Cavan Christmas Carol’.

Co-written and directed by ‘The Republic of Telly’ star Kevin McGahern and award-winning playwright Philip Doherty, ‘Scrooge and Marley’ is a darkly funny Christmas fairy tale that takes aim at modern society and rampant consumerism.
