Uncommon Wealth with New County Choir
"Uncommon Wealth" is a developing performative work with song, chat and spoken word, which will be performed at Town Hall, Cavan on 17th August 2013 as part of the Life of Reilly Festival.  John Byrne has created a celebration which draws from both sides of the border and from ‘both communities’.

He is working with one of the foremost musical educators in the country, Blanaid Murphy, who is Choral Director of the new County Choir who will be performing the hymns which John has specifically written for this event.  He is also working with the renowned County Antrim composer Elaine Agnew on scoring the new piece of music entitled "The United States of Emotion".

Other performers in’Uncommon Wealth’ are Soloist Ciara McMakin and pianist David O’Shea. Speakers include community relations worker Tony Macauley, writer Brian Keenan, Cavan based poet Heather Brett and Tyrone man Kevin McAleer. The events will have a light celebratory feel with humourous aspects.
