A Collaborative Project between Fine Art and Architecture Students at IT Sligo

Trans-art in collaboration with The Gonzo Theatre presents “In between”. This exhibition is the result of collaboration between final year Architecture students and final year Fine Art students at Institute of Technology Sligo. The official opening, takes place in the trans art hub no 61 college street 8pm-10pm on Thursday the 27 November continuing until Sunday 30 of September.

Eimear Crowe Residency at Bullock Lane

Eimear Crowe during her residency will research and develop her own practice exploring domestic tools through ceramic processes, making drawing and video.  Eimear is re-examining the uses of the domestic tools and its production to explore themes of gender, identity and interior space.  Her work includes meeting with makers of handmade domestic implements.

Response to Beauty Exhibition

Minister Heather Humphreys will open the Response to Beauty Exhibition on Thursday 27 November at 6pm. Response to Beauty, the shared learning experience curated by Heather Brett, poet and editor will culminate with an exhibition of work from the participating artists. The project has involved arts and heritage workshops encouraging artistic and multi disciplinary responses to the landscape of the Cavan Burren and the wider Geopark. Informed experts in literature, visual art, the built heritage, archaeology, geology, photography shared insights from their own practice incorporating and interpretation the landscape.

The Hallow

The exhibition The Hollow by artists Jackie O’Neill & Michelle Harton follows a period of research on folklore.
The official opening of ‘The Hollow’ is on Friday November 14th at 8pm in Cavan County Museum, Ballyjamesduff, Co.Cavan.  The exhibition can then be viewed from Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm until November 22nd.
