Ireland is the only country in the world to have a dedicated day of free creative activities taking place in local communities across the country.

This year’s Art Works Open Submission invites artists to submit work in any medium that responds to the song lyric:

The Harp Media Short Film and Screenplay Competition is a Broadcasting Authority of Ireland sponsored initiative aimed at promoting filmmaking amongst secondary school students in the midlands. They are welcoming submissions from secondary school students in Longford, Westmeath and Cavan.

The competition will have two categories: Best Short Film Screenplay (Maximum 12 pages) and Best Short Film (Maximum 12 minutes). There is a prize of €250 and filmmaking equipment for each category.

Wexford County Council Arts office in partnership with Fingal County Council and Dublin City Council Public Art Offices is seeking applications from artists to participate in a series of Climate Change & Biodiversity residencies located in Ireland and the UK. Value €20,000 per residency in addition to live/work accommodation and project support.
Closing date for applications: 21 February 2019.

Applications are now open for Poetry Ireland Introductions 2019, which will offer poets in the early stages of their careers, writing in Irish or English, the opportunity to showcase their work through workshops and performance.
