‘Rite of Spring’ by Ériu Dance Company in association with Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Company

Nearly 100 years after the first performance, this interpretation of Rite of Spring is inspired by the Stravinsky ballet of the same name, and is also inspired by the French tradition of Son et Lumière, specifically that which took place at the Cathedrale de Reims in 2011.This performance about a dancer who makes the ultimate sacrifice for his work. It will be a unique blend of dance, light and sound, ambitiously reworking the original performance to incorporate aerial dance, Irish and contemporary dance with Irish, classical and traditional music. Will take place at Cathedral of SS Patrick & Felim, Friday 10th August 2012 at 10pm.
