The Souvenir Shop
Cavan artist Rita Duffy is one of only five artists selected by the State to produce commemorative art for the 1916 centenary celebrations.

Referencing the shop once owned by Proclamation signatory Tom Clarke, Duffy will create a shop in Dublin City centre filled with foodstuffs, goods, medicines, with images of the rising and its heroes, woven into everyday things. Rita has worked with Cavan writer Shane Connaughton, the ICA, and women's groups along the border to produce this collection of products. The official launch of the project will be in Dublin on 23rd April 2016
