The Moth

Young Artists and Writers Bursary


The Moth is home to the international art and literature magazine of the same name, and its junior counterpart The Caterpillar, as well as hosting several major literary and art prizes, including the €10,000 Ballymaloe International Poetry Prize. 2017 will be the first year of the young artists and writers bursary.

Tyrone Guthrie Award


Cavan County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Tyrone Guthrie Centre is offering a two week residency at Annaghmakerrig to practitioners in all art forms.

Arts Council Awards and Bursaries


Annually The Arts Council offer opportunities and awards.  There are a number of closing dates in January for a range of arts discipline bursaries including: architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, opera, street and spectacle arts.

Registration Day - Professional Development Awards


The Professional Development Award for Artists will be open on Monday 16 January at a Registration and Information Session at Johnston Central Library, Farnham Centre, Farnham St, Cavan at 2.30pm.

Arts Awards

 

The Arts Awards are intended to stimulate and support the ongoing development of the arts in County Cavan. This award scheme is intended to assist organisations and individuals in developing existing and supporting new and innovative Arts projects and events in County Cavan. Cavan County Council works with individuals and communities to promote access and participation in all arts activities.

Uillinn Arts and Health Award

Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre in partnership with Cavan County Council is offering a Studio Residency Award to an artist who is interested in developing their arts and health practice in the autumn of 2017.

This Award provides financial support for an artist to reside in Skibbereen and have full access to Uillinn studios along with a learning opportunity on the Arts for Health Partnership Programme, West Cork.
