Science Teacher Sarah and Science Adventure Kids
invite you along to

Monday 2/20  Become an archaeologist discovering and analyzing real artifacts that show how New York changed through time.  Dig down, layer by layer in Manhattan. What do you find? Historical clues! Today we will excavate layers of fun at the South Street Seaport Museum!

Tuesday 2/21 will be an extra awesome camp day.  Join us to explore more! We've got something up our sleeve that we know you'll LOVE!
We will do hands on projects and experiments.  Students will have the opportunity to visit our on-site animal menagerie to care for, feed or pet some of our many non-human friends.  The short wave cave may be enjoyed as we learn about different types of light.

Wednesday 2/22   At Tenafly Nature Center, we will discover and identify different types of trees.  Maple trees are one common tree we might find locally, along with other some intriguing wildlife hiding around each bend.  Not everyone sleeps through the winter.  Tree tapping tempts us to savor the sap while exploring the wild diversity that surrounds us.  A seasonal and regional adventure beckons.

Thursday 2/23  is an in class day.  We will do hands on projects and experiments.  Students will have the opportunity to visit our on-site animal menagerie to care for, feed or pet some of our many non-human friends.  The short wave cave may be enjoyed as we learn about different types of light.

Friday 2/24  A strange and enchanting substance makes it’ way to14th St.  What could it be?  It looks like a brightly colored cloud.  How does it feel?  What will cause it’s texture to change? Cotton Candy Time brings us a guest expert to  teach us the ins and outs of this delicate fluff,  as well as showing us the inner workings of a cotton candy machine!  We’ll watch and analyze the spinning process that will invite us to answer many questions along the way.  The biggest question of course will be, when do we get to taste it?
