April 2014 MSP Audio Geeks Meetup

Thursday, April 3rd

Hot on the heels of March's meetup, April's MSP Audio Geeks meetup will be on Thursday, April 3rd at 6:30pm. We are grateful to have the opportunity to tour MISCO. Many thanks to Mike Shields and Eddie Ciletti for helping to make this event happen!

Feel free to invite your friends! This month we are handling RSVPs through Eventbrite. Please sign up for April's meetup HERE. If we reach an attendance cap we will hold a lottery for the available spots and start a wait list.

From their website: "For more than 60 years, MISCO has helped audio system designers make the sound in their imaginations a reality. We engineer and manufacture loudspeakers to meet the specific needs of the widest range of customers and applications.

MISCO is the only US loudspeaker company that does it all - design engineering, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing - in domestic facilities. Our US-based production offers distinct advantages, including quick and accurate communications with customers, lower costs, and shorter lead times.

And while the MISCO product line has grown beyond speakers, we're always close to our audio roots. Today, MISCO offers complete audio systems, enclosures, amplifiers, accessories and, of course, industry-leading loudspeakers."

Audio Society of Minnesota

The Audio Society of Minnesota is a non-commercial hobby organization incorporated in 1979. They present monthly meetings from September to May/June of each year, and publish a monthly ASM Bulletin during that time.

They support all audiophile interests. They have tube freaks and solid-state freaks, people who only listen to digital and people who would be happy if digital had never been invented, folks who have never seen an LP in their lives and others who have thousands, members who think nothing of making major expenditures for audio gear and others who are interested in the best bang for their buck, some with advanced degrees in engineering and some who don't know an Ohm from a Watt, those who think of their hobby as a science and those who think of it as an art. But they all have one thing in common: They love music and they love to hear it accurately and emotionally recreated in their homes.

Meetings are held at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting:
3517 Raleigh Avenue
St. Louis Park, MN 55416
