After a year-long break from major festivals I am taking Laura's Loom back to Woolfest next weekend. You will find us at stand D79-80. I am taking a double stand this year having decided it's time to give myself a bit of room for once!
Woolfest is my favourite big woolly extravaganza, as both a vendor and a customer. There is plenty of interest for weavers at this event, plus lots of fun events in the main arena, live music and local food. The drive from Sedbergh to Cockermouth is inspiring. This must be one of the prettiest stretches of motorway in the UK, up to Penrith then turn west to Keswick. Even better, but it takes a bit longer, is the drive via Ambleside and Grasmere, through the heart of the Lake District with its overtones of Scotland.
I look forward to meeting you! But if you can't make it to Woolfest this year you can always find a full selection of my yarns, scarves, socks, throws, and other woolly items on my website. Use code Woolfest17 for 15% off all online purchases, valid until July 31st.
With best wishes,
Please note:I have recently re-located my workshop from Back Lane, Sedbergh to Studio 2A, Farfield Mill, Sedbergh, LA10 5LW. The Mill is open seven days a week, from 10:30am to 4:30pm. My 'fixed' day at the 'office' is still Wednesday but if you are passing by and would like to meet up with me just send an email in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org
