Whatever happened to the balance of the year, Thanksgiving is this week in the USA!  There are issues you can easily avoid with this holiday with a bit of planning or at least thinking about “what would be the best way”.
48,000,000 will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Take a deep breath, pack some games for the kids, plan your trip and allow your road rage to stay home.
Aunt Martha’s lumpy gravy is not as bad as you think it is…be patient with the older ones…they need this holiday as much as you.
Overeating is easy.  Keep some water with you all the time and hydrate.  It will keep the hunger down and the brain clear cause your brain loves being hydrated.
DO NOT discuss the election.  It is over.  Discuss what is next and how you can make 2017 the best year ever.
If you are doing gifts with extended families, consider selecting names so you can significantly reduce your dollars spent on gifts – it actually is lots of fun.
Make sure everyone feels welcome and forget the old stories just this one holiday…it is old news, ya know.
Get the kids involved with the planning for the holidays – they are so creative and love being able to be a part of the plans.
“Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice.” - Dave Barry

“May your walls know joy, may every room hold laughter, and every window open to great possibility.” - Mary Anne Radmacher
