There seems to be lots of our time spent avoiding fear, panic and anxiety.  The world, globally and locally, feels panicked and angry.  Here are some steps for you to remain in stressless control and/or regain control of your emotions and thoughts in the moment you most need them.
Immediately change your breathing and slow it down.
Hold onto something.  Lean on a wall.  Hug yourself hard – the pressure tells your body you are safe.
DO NOT ignore rest and sleep.  Anxious feelings and reactions are many times higher and harder when you are sleep deprived.
Shut off all devices or move away from them for a period of time even if it is only 10 minutes…then try 2 hours and then maybe a full day.  Our devices pound us with false anxious deadlines and high frequencies constantly.
Have a “go to” behavior like an affirmation you can repeat over and over until your calm returns.  I like “I am good, my breathing is good, everything is good, I’ve got this”.
Find a spot where you can close your eyes and visualize a positive and compelling scene or memory.  Your brain will think you are really in that spot and respond with less stress and begin to diminish the panic.
Never ever underestimate the power of your own breath to help you.  Your body knows how to breathe, but anxiety shortens the breath.  Find your breath, deeply breathe and you will help to create your calm space.

“Breath is the finest gift of nature.  Be grateful for this wonderful gift”.  By Amit Ray
Deep Breathing Exercises for Anxiety by Angira Lisbon. Stress, panic, and anxiety are a part of daily modern life, and the longer they are ignored, the worse they become. While some people are lucky enough to find their own internal calm, most just pretend to be fine until these problems lead to graver health issues like heart complications, respiratory disorders, or panic attacks.  If you want to learn how to defeat anxiety and stress immediately, quietly, and without even having to physically isolate yourself from your surroundings, then this book is for you!
To your success,
