Ever wonder how we break down what you read?
~We are happy to announce the addition of Kevin Prise to our staff of contributors. About eight years ago, our first collegiate writer got in touch with us and St. Bonaventure's Christopher Whitcomb (aka The Mouth That Roars) went on a tear of over 200 articles for us. We're hoping that Syracuse University gives us more good news (like Doug Marrone) in the guise of Mr. Prise, who will write under the pseudonym One Step Away, a tribute to the fellows on the Web.Com tour.
~ Average Joe Golfer is an interview series involving western New York's most passionate, average golfers. You'll read plenty this year about BDGA and NYSGA and USGA participants and champions. On BuffaloGolfer.Com, we want to focus on that girl or this guy from your club. You know the one: bleeds golfing green, putts out on 18 and heads straight to #1, wears out grips but always plays the same ball, and on and on.
~Golf instruction from Tom Tucker of Plum Creek driving range (Batavia).
~Press Releases: these come from our sponsors, equipment companies, golfing associations and tournament sponsors and charity events.

Door # 1
Hello, World: In 1997, Tiger Woods' face graced the nation's newspapers with that simple message. In 2012, we're taking a softer tack, but we want to introduce you to Kevin Prise, our newest feature writer for BuffaloGolfer.Com. Kevin is an area native, a former high school golfer and a journalism major at Syracuse University. He is truly a man on a mission and we look forward to having him with us until the big magazines take notice. Trust us~we suspect that you'll be reading his work for years to come.

An Interview With Mike Miller: An outside-the-box route to a career in golf is an appropriate way to describe Mike Miller's current journey. Miller is from the other end of the state, but we'll claim him as one of our own. After all, he lead the New York State contingent to victory in the Men's State Team Championship, an honest-to-goodness USGA event. Read a two-part interview with him here and on TravelGolf.com.
