Kupu's monthly newsletter!
Aloha and happy July!
I hope that this newsletter finds each of you doing well. Summer is in full swing and so are the programs at Kupu. This summer we have youth across the state participating in our Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps Gateway and Frontiers programs. We are also excited that some of them will be heading to West Virginia to participate in the Summit for Service.  Between 40,000-50,000 youth from across the country will participate and a cohort of 15 people from Kupu will be joining this epic week of service. A huge Mahalo to our friends at the Citizen's Conservation Corps of West Virginia for not only planning this amazing week of service across nine counties, but also for hosting our team.

There are so many ways to keep engaged with Kupu and make a difference. As you read below I hope you will see that there are great opportunities to get engaged through our upcoming Lau Kupu service day, sign up (or encourage a loved one to sign up) for our Extended Internship Program in conservation starting this fall, volunteer at our offices or with our programs, apply to join our team of staff, or consider donating to Kupu to help us serve Hawaii better. In whatever capacity, we can only do what we do through supporters like you. So thank you very much for your contributions, big or small, they are all important.

Aloha and have a wonderful summer,

 John Leong
 Kupu Executive  Director
