Hi there, as we commemorate this special day, the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

We have lots to share with you this month, but most urgently – we are excited to invite you to the first in the Year Round TOT series on Sept. 9 – a virtual evening with Fr. Steven Borello, discussing the importance of listening to the voice of God and discerning His will for us.

Blessings from the YAM team, Sheila, Mayra and Yazmin.

Theology on Tap: The Great Adventure: Discerning God’s Will in Your Life, a panel discussion with Fr. Steven Borello

Who am I? What is God calling me to do? How do I know if I’m making the right decision? As young adults, we search for answers to questions about career, relationships, and vocation to marriage or religious life, but are often left in a fog of uncertainty and worry about the future. The good news is that you don’t have to make all of these big life decisions on your own.

Join Fr. Steven Borello and a young adult panel as they discuss listening to the voice of God, developing a personal relationship with Jesus, and understanding the great plan that God has for your life.

On September 1st, 2020, the International Day of Prayer for Creation - October 4th, 2020, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we celebrate the Season of Creation. The Season of Creation is an annual Christian observance of caring for creation. It is a time to celebrate and renew our commitment to the Creator and the stewardship of His creation. This year’s Season of Creation has a particular significance because our Holy Father has named this year Laudato Si’ Year, as we continue to celebrate the five-year anniversary of his encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home. We partnered with Laudato Si’ Ministries to kick-off the Season of Creation with a Prayer Service with Bishop Pates (watch the video here). Check out what is going on for the Season of Creation 2020 in our Diocese (here).
