Heatwave Plan 2013
The Heatwave Plan for England is a plan intended to protect the population from heat-related harm to health. It aims to prepare for, alert people to, and prevent,
the major avoidable effects on health during periods of severe heat in England.

It recommends a series of steps to reduce the risks to health from prolonged exposure to severe heat for:
 
• The NHS, local authorities, social care, and other public agencies
 
• Professionals working with people at risk
 
• Individuals, local communities and voluntary groups

The "crowd" decides what's good, what's not, what they want to fund, and what they don't. If the crowd doesn't back the project...
SO18 Big Local Programme - 2013

The SO18 Big Local programme is now launching a small grants programme.
This will give local community groups and organisations an opportunity to apply for funding for local activities, projects and events which will benefit residents within the area. Community groups, schools and voluntary organisations currently working in the area may all be eligible to apply for support.
