SO much has been happening on the dandyBLOG and in the Toronto bike-o-sphere it is almost too much to recap in one newsletter! We were at events for both Bike to Work and Bike to School weeks, as well as Bike with Mike, Yonge Loves Bikes ride, The Reading Line: Books on Bathurst, Bells on Danforth, Scarborough Cycles bike hub launch, St. Lawrence Library bike day, Sweet Pete's and Henderson's Brewery bike fest, Trinity Bellwoods Farmers Market where we examined bike etiquette, and more! It's been a biketastic month. We went on a ride with Meals on 2 Wheels last month and, earlier, we complained about the sorry state of Adelaide street and did some Bike Spotting there, and over on the Danforth, and we did some Pride Bike Spotting, too.

So much bike love! We hope you feel it too - even though it's hard some days with so many jerks parked in the bike lane. Stay alert and well lit out there friends, and stay dandy! Get dandy here.
Bill Cunningham RIP
On June 25, 2016, one of our dandy heroes died. The NYTimes photographer rode almost every day of the year and had 30 bicycles in his lifetime. He received a copy of each issue of dandyhorse and wrote back in 2011 with encouragement, saying it reminded him of the early Details. Here's one of Bill's famous street style columns devoted entirely to bikes. Image about by Joana Avillez.

Bee Scene
dandyhorse readers know the importance of pollinators. In our new issue we focus on pollinators and feature this bee dress by bike lovelies Twiss & Weber along side this Public bike from Cycle Couture in a fab fashion shoot by Mike Ford.

Read about our Bee Scene shoot causing a buzz in the park. We'll be raffling this beauty bike off at our launch party too! Stay tuned to the dandy channels like FB and Twitter for more details on that. Pick up the magazine for free at our sponsor shops.

Ride on
Our new issue includes interviews with activists, politicians, and regular every day cyclists on why they support the new bike lanes on Bloor pilot project, plus a look back at the fight for Bloor, and a point/counterpoint on on-street parking. We'll have more on Bloor - and Danforth - on the dandyBLOG.
In the meantime, pick up a copy of dandy here or here!
