Welcome  - 8 December 

Fabrizio Rosso, Jeanluc Angot, Matthew Stone, Alf Füssel, Keith Sumption,  Martin Blake and Stephan Zientara will welcome you to the Session at 9.30 CET on the 8th December, followed by Don King (TPI), Arnaud Bataille (Cirad) and Eeva Tuppurainen (FLI) who will set the scene for the conference, discussing the global situation of FAST diseases.  

Session 1  - 8 December 

Measuring animal movements and drivers for FAST disease risk mapping

We start at 11.30 with Prof James Wood chairing this session, which has talks by Drs Kao,  Apolloni,  Cardenas, Ekwem and Guyver-Fletcher.  There will be a round table at the end of the session for questions, moderated by the Chair, Corissa Miller and Paolo Motta.  The afternoon session starts with Drs Tatem and Valdano, then Drs Wanyoike, Squarzoni-Diaw, Aguanno and Vidondo. At 16.30, all speakers back on "stage" for questions and a summary of the first day with the Chair, Buda Ahmadi and Paolo Motta. Our Scientific Coordinator, Bouda Ahmadi will be Master of Ceremony together with Corissa Miller.  In addition to listening to the talks. you will be able to enter virtual rooms, interact with avatars, ask questions and listen to podcasts.

Once the virtual area opens on the 8 December, you will be able to enter the "Lighthouse", stop by our desks for information on EUFMDis, Emergency preparedness: GET prepared and PQ vaccines, Pragmatist, Simex, Risk forecasting Global Strategy, Gf-TADs, PPR, GFRA and Training. You will be able to try your hand at the Get Prepared game: how many "bricks" can you place correctly? Or age the lesions on our interactive cow! Don't forget to visit the Poster room, as you walk around. 

Passwords 

The passwords allowing you to interact, from the 8th December onwards, in the virtual area have been sent. If you have registered, you should have received it by now. 
Note: if you log-in from work computers, please do check that the firewall does not block the site.
