The virtual learning course “Applying Public-Private Partnerships in the Progressive Control of FMD and Similar Transboundary Animal Diseases” has been jointly developed and delivered by EuFMD and the OIE. The target audience for this 4-week course has included Public Veterinary Services at national and district levels and Private sector stakeholders currently involved in or with interest in involvement in activities related to animal health. Participants have completed activities individually and as a group. The objectives have included learning how to conduct an analysis of opportunities for PPP for FAST control; how to develop the outline of a business case for the establishment of a PPP to address a FAST disease priority in their country; how to apply a framework to conduct an initial evaluation of a business case for a PPP; and how to develop a national/sectoral action plan for the establishment of an enabling environment for public and private sector collaboration in FAST control.

The text book of the course is the OIE PPP Handbook (2019)
