'Twas the Night Before Christmas
'Tis is a short one, friends -- I just wanted to send out my monthly letter to thank you all for following the music this year.
It's been a busy, scary, and productive year for me. At the onset of 2012, I headed up to Massachusetts to begin recording my first solo record with Jack Simons and my bandmates Will Gelder and Jason MacDermott. Remember this?
I set out to make a classic early 1970s piano-rock record, my Madman Across the Water or Turnstiles. Thanks to the help of a slew of musicians, artists, friends, and family, I got to accomplish the goal I set for myself in 2012. Songs to Make You Wealthier and More Attractive is out in the world, and I couldn't be more proud.
If you haven't heard the record yet, check it out here.
Many thanks must go to my terrific Ego Band that's been bringing the songs to life onstage for the past year: Will, Jason, Josh, Drew, and Mandy. I've got more big plans and projects planned for 2013, so this is me piquing your interest for another year of SBL newsletters and, more importantly, music.
For the moment, though, I raise a digital glass to all of you succeeding and achieving your goals and dreams in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. Happy holidays and a very happy new year to everyone.
