September 1st and there's so much to share! Let's jump right in, shall we?
New yarn from Rowan - introducing Felted Tweed Colour!
You read that right, Rowan has released a new version of Felted Tweed and it's fantastic. This latest addition to the family has eight colorways that gradually move through different color washes. Selected by color master Kaffe Fassett, the effect is stunning and sure to add some pizazz to your projects.
There's a companion book of patterns as well with nine designs taken from the Rowan archives and re-imagined in this new yarn with wonderful results. Patterns include scarves, sweaters, and wraps with designs by Martin Storey, Lisa Richardson, and Kim Hargreaves.
Both are available in the shop as of today!
Bring a little art into your every day life!
Join us Saturday, September 18th for a trunk show with artist and knitter Julia Redman.
Julia's ability to make creative connections and her focus on the details of things make her art one of a kind. She'll be bringing knitting bags and some home accessories and joining us for the day.
Mark your calendar and stop over to see all her beautiful wares. Maybe even get a jump on your holiday shopping?
Know someone who might be interested in this trunk show? Feel free to share this email or our Facebook event with them!
This is the last week to order an Emma's Yarn set for Lisa K. Ross's Just Beachy MKAL. We are accepting orders through Sunday the 5th so pop over and order yours soon if you want to get in on the action. Check out the pattern and knit-along details over on Ravelry HERE.
Beyond the Foundations of Knitting begins on September 13th. We've had a couple of questions about the class so let's see if we can clear things up a bit.
This is the final part of a whole learn to knit series that we put together - you do not have to have taken the other parts of the series to sign up but you do need to be confident in casting on and binding off, knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing, knitting in the round, and reading a simple pattern.
- a set of 3 classes for a total of $100
- learn about lace, cables, colorwork, blocking, and finishing
- signing up gets you a seat in all 3 classes
Also new to the shelves is one of the baby pattern books we teased you about a few weeks ago.
Bloom at Rowan - Cotton Wool has arrived!

Berroco Project of the Week
(Yarn and pattern links in this section will take you to Berroco's pages for the design and the yarn.)
Who is up for a little brioche challenge?
"Beatriz" is a great project for the knitters who are looking for something to stretch their skills.
Starting at the bottom point, it builds row by row to create a small, cozy shawl. The pattern is both written and charted and even includes directions on how to increase the finished size if you want.
Knit in just 3 balls of lovely Berroco Arno, this in also an economical project for those who may want to dip their toes into the brioche pool.
Arno is a blend of 57% cotton & 43% merino wool that perfectly combines softness and stitch definition. The sophisticated color palette means it will create pieces that will become wardrobe staples over time.
Arno is 157 yards per 50 gram ball and retails for $12/ball.
(Don't forget to order extra yarn if you want to take advantage of the directions on how to make the shawl bigger!)
As always there is an additional $7 shipping charge for these drop ship orders so Berroco can send them straight to your door.
Want to order one of these kits? Go to Berroco's pages for the design and yarn to check out the details and choose your size and color (clicking on the links/pictures above will take you straight to them!). Then click here and send us an email. We'll be in touch to confirm your information and process your payment.
Is there an older Project of the Week that you're still thinking about? We can likely still get it! Check the Berroco 1-2-3 Dropship Store to figure out all the details and then use the email link above to send us a message.
