On the Horizon
Yarns in the Farms is open for in-person shopping: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11am - 2pm and Saturday from 10am - 4pm. Our online shop remains open as well and we're still shipping and doing contactless pickups. Please, don't hesitate to reach out to us if we can assist in any way.

[NB: Unless otherwise specified, yarn, needle, accessory, and book links/images will take you to our website and pattern links/images will take you to Ravelry.]

It's a little tough to think about things coming up for the fall when it's still only July but pre-order season is upon us.

The newest issues of our favorite publications will be coming out in the next 4 to 6 weeks and over the next few weeks we'll be opening them up for advanced ordering. Don't worry, we'll be sure to tell you when we do so that you don't miss your chance to snag a copy of your favorites too!

Mid-July is a pretty slow time in the yarn world as we start to think about all the wonderful new things to bring you all for fall & winter so this week is a quick update/recap. Take a look and then get outside!

This week's pre-order release is
PomPom Quarterly - Issue 38

Titled "Roots + Branches
", this issue celebrates trees. Think cables reminiscent of roots and branches, colorwork and textures designed to imitate plant life, and patterns that play on fairy tale forests. Besides pullovers and cardigans, there are also accessory patterns that are perfect for Autumn's transitional weather.

Want to check out all the patterns before you order? The preview images are all up on Ravelry and you can find them HERE.

Another reminder about our upcoming Work-in-Progress/Group Help class (7/19) and Foundations of Knitting 2 (7/26, 8/9, & 8/23) classes. Be sure to register ahead of time if you plan to attend.

Other Pre-order Reminders

Smallidays from Emma's Yarn

Our order will be going in to Emma's at the end of the month, so make sure to order before then. The link above will take you to the page on our website which will give you all the details (in case you missed them in last week's email), show you your options, and allow you to place your order.

Have questions? Let us know! We're always happy to talk about yarn.

Don't forget about the beautiful Lopi blankets we told you about last week either!

Our vendor rep brought hers along when she visited this week and these blankets really are super gorgeous. If you're thinking about getting one, hop on board!

Check out the choices in the lookbook from Lopi, choose your favorite(s), and then pop over to our website to place your order.

We don't have the space in the shop to stock these blankets so pre-ordering is the way to go.

Berroco Project of the Week
(Yarn and pattern links in this section will take you to Berroco's pages for the design and the yarn.)

Berroco brings us the Claudia tee as this week's drop ship Project of the Week.

This boxy tee has simple garter and rib details that show off the lovely stitch definition of their Cambria yarn.

This tee is written for finished sizes of 37" to 67.5" and has a recommended positive ease of 8"-10". (The size shown on the model is a 50".) Depending on the size you choose, you'll need somewhere between 5 and 10 skeins of yarn and US size 4 & 6 needles to complete this project.

Berroco's Cambria yarn is a beautiful blend of 60% baby alpaca, 20% linen, and 20% lyocell. It's a DK weight that has wonderful drape and stitch definition and comes in 12 gorgeous shades.

The various fibers give this yarn a slightly heathered/tweedy look that's difficult to resist.

As always there is an additional $7 shipping charge for these drop ship orders so Berroco can send them straight to your door.

Want to order one of these kits? Go to Berroco's pages for the design and yarn to check out the details and choose your size and color (clicking on the links/pictures above will take you straight to them!). Then click here and send us an email. We'll be in touch to confirm your information and process your payment.

Is there an older Project of the Week that you're still thinking about? We can likely still get it! Check the Berroco 1-2-3 Dropship Store to figure out all the details and then use the email link above to send us a message.
