It's almost time to officially say it's fall and our shelves are showing it; take a look at some of the new things we got in this week!
Here's your final reminder that Julia Redman is joining us tomorrow with a selection of her beautiful bags, art, cutting boards, and more. See you then!
Need more incentive to come see us tomorrow?
Just arrived is Franca from Manos del Uruguay!
These big, beautiful, hand-dyed, super bulky skeins are not to be missed. A single ply, superwash merino with 114 yards/skein, it's absolutely perfect for light but cozy hats, cowls, and more.
Manos del Uruguay was founded in 1968 by 5 women who wanted to answer the question, "How can we improve the quality of life of Uruguay's rural women?" Every skein tag has the signature of the artisan who dyed it and the village where her co-op is located (there are 12 in total), a visible reminder of the fact that there is a single woman with her own story behind everything they make. Each woman is a part owner of the company and profits are shared amongst the co-ops or reinvested in the business. They've also been a proud member of the World Fair Trade Organization since 2009, ensuring fair trade practices across their supply chain.
We're thrilled to add Franca to the shelves and can't wait to see what you all create with it!
Also just in is the latest installment of Blossoms Garden Club from frabjous fibers & Wonderland Yarns.
This is Velvet Bean and it's a whole fall mood. A kit in a cake, there is a free pattern available for download and a beautiful stitch marker included with every skein.

Berroco Project of the Week
(Yarn and pattern links in this section will take you to Berroco's pages for the design and the yarn.)
Love the look of woven scarves but not a weaver yourself? Then this week's project is for you!
"Arbela" is an eye catching scarf that is worked sideways with a slipped stitch texture pattern. You'll want to cozy right up in it!
You'll need two colors of Berroco Aerial, each held together with a single color of Berroco Arno in alternating stripes throughout the project.
Aerial is Berroco's superkid mohair/silk blend and it comes in some wonderful shades.
Arno is a cotton/wool blend that's soft and showcases a wonderful stitch definition in a sophisticated palette.
The pictured sample used 7 balls of Arno in #5096 Dulce de Leche and 1 ball each of Aerial in #3444 Fuchsia & #3435 Goldenrod. (Note: Fuchsia has been discontinued but 3457 Magenta is a great substitute.)
Arno retails for $12/ball and Aerial retails for $13/ball. The total project cost is $110.
As always there is an additional $7 shipping charge for these drop ship orders so Berroco can send them straight to your door.
Want to order one of these kits? Go to Berroco's pages for the design and yarn to check out the details and choose your size and color (clicking on the links/pictures above will take you straight to them!). Then click here and send us an email. We'll be in touch to confirm your information and process your payment.
Is there an older Project of the Week that you're still thinking about? We can likely still get it! Check the Berroco 1-2-3 Dropship Store to figure out all the details and then use the email link above to send us a message.
"Knitting keeps you focused." Indeed, Ms. Vestager, indeed.
Olympian and knitter/crocheter Tom Daley attended the Met Gala the other night. What did he do to pass the time before his red carpet debut? Knit, of course!

Olympian Bethany Zummo used crochet to help get her through the Paralympic Games, to relax, and breathe. I'm sure a lot of us can relate.
