We always have a lot of people who come in looking to make a project for a new addition to the world but it seems more and more frequent these days.

Maybe we're placing more value on handmade things, maybe it's putting new found (or newly rediscovered) skills to use... whatever it is, we are here for it!

For anyone who knows of a little on on the way and is dying to make something for them (or just prefers to knit with cotton blends), we have just gotten in the perfect yarn for you!

Meet Rowan Cotton Wool!

This DK/Worsted weight is 60% cotton and 40% wool and is certified organic. It is recommended hand wash or machine wash delicate and dry flat.

With 142 yards per ball and an easy gauge of 20 stitches/4 inches, there are any number of projects that can be made with this delightful yarn.

There are so many options for everyone from babies to adults and from sweaters to toys that choosing just a few to show you here was a major challenge!

Rowan worked with designer Erika Knight to choose the palette for this lovely yarn and the colors are just right. She also designed a pattern collection called "Bloom" that is full of beautiful knits for both mom and baby. Our copies are currently on backorder but we'll let you know as soon as they arrive!

Stop in or pop over to the website to check out this beautiful new addition to our shelves.

Also just arrived is the newest color of the Blossoms Garden Club from frabjous fibers and Wonderland Yarns!

This is "Yarrow".

There's a special bonus for you hedgehog lovers out there this month. The coordinating stitch marker is this completely adorable hedgie!

Berroco Project of the Week
(Yarn and pattern links in this section will take you to Berroco's pages for the design and the yarn.)

A lovely, lacy, open-front cardigan that can easily transition between summer and fall, meet "Auden".

Worked from the bottom up, this all over lace cardi has a relaxed, flattering fit. And if charts aren't your thing, the stitch pattern is also written out!

Knit on US size 7 needles and written for finished sizes from 37" to 72", it is recommended to make a size with approximately 2"-5" of positive ease. Depending on the size you choose to make, you'll need anywhere from 4 to 9 balls of yarn.

If you've knit with 100% recycled fiber Remix before, you know you're in for a treat with this sweater. There are so many great colors to choose from too!

Remix retails for $12/ball.

As always there is an additional $7 shipping charge for these drop ship orders so Berroco can send them straight to your door.

Want to order one of these kits? Go to Berroco's pages for the design and yarn to check out the details and choose your size and color (clicking on the links/pictures above will take you straight to them!). Then click here and send us an email. We'll be in touch to confirm your information and process your payment.

Is there an older Project of the Week that you're still thinking about? We can likely still get it! Check the Berroco 1-2-3 Dropship Store to figure out all the details and then use the email link above to send us a message.

Distractions

Yes, we know, we talk about Olympic diver Tom Daley a lot. But... he won a gold medal and he knit a cozy for it. So adorable...

Nurses in Kansas City made itty-bitty Olympic uniforms for the newborns - awwwww!

This Irish town was turned tropical by yarn bombers.
