We're big fans of colorwork of all kinds around here - stranded, mosaic, Norwegian, Icelandic, Fair Isle, you name it!
It's fun even before you start knitting the project. Planning, playing with, and combining colors to find your perfect match for the project you want to make is half the fun of any colorwork project. You get to imagine it in your mind's eye before it's even on the needles and then get to see your vision develop as you knit through the rows.
This time of year is great for a colorwork project - all that color as a counter weight to the grey days of February and March is so uplifting.
Releasing this Friday!
This gorgeous new book from Anna Johanna and the folks at Laine Publishing is on sale this Friday, February 19th and we will have copies available both online and in store. (We recommend buying your copy online if you're certain you want one, we're happy to hold it for you to pick up in person.)
There are 20 of the most beautiful patterns contained within, here are 8 of our favorites.

This week it's not one but three projects being featured for Project of the Week!
First up are "Daron" (left) and "Rafik" (right). His and hers, highly textured cardigans that have easy knit and purl patterns, diamond cables, and knit-on garter stitch button bands these are a couple of classic patterns. Daron is written for sizes 36, 40, 44, 48, and 52 and Rafik is written for sizes 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52.
This one is "Abi", a sleeveless tunic with pockets and cables. Written for sizes 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, and 52.
All three of these designs are knit in Berroco Remix, a machine washable, Aran weight made of 100% recycled fibers - nylon, cotton, acrylic, silk, and linen.
