Her sound is often imitated but never matched with the whole disco and deep house genre right now at the top of the popularity charts.Alongside a few closely related artists she has been the driving force for its global domination. 11 SONGS WE DIDN'T KNOW PRINCE WAS THE GHOST PRODUCER
The music world has lost one of its most iconic performers, with the death of Prince at the age of 57. Prince enjoyed a successful and illustrious career in the music industry spread over a number of decades, leaving in his wake a number of tunes that will live on in pop history, from dance-floor staples like ‘Kiss’, ‘1999’ and ‘I Wanna Be Ur Lover’ to more emotional tracks including ‘When Doves Cry’ and, arguably his signature tune, ‘Purple Rain’.
The star was well-known as a gifted performer, guitarist and songwriter, but what you might not realise is that, in addition to being a massive influence over artists in the music scene today, he also had a hand in writing a number of hits you already know and love, often under pseudonyms like ‘Alexander Whatever’ or the more understated ‘Christopher’.In fact, among his vast discography are a handful of tracks recorded by some of the biggest names in music, including Celine Dion, Madonna and Alicia Keys. Here are just 11 songs you might not know were written by the late, great Prince…

DENSE & PIKA
CALF EP
Dense & Pika's latest Drumcode release comes in the shape of a heavy four track EP, 'Calf EP'. The four tracks showcase Dense & Pika's signature industrial and dynamic style with each track bringing its own unique sound to the release whilst being unified by the sledgehammer style intensity throughout. The release is laden with sporadic vocals, clanking samples, eerie horns and slamming percussion work.  Once again another heavy hitting, ear whipping release from Dense & Pika with the pick of the 4 for us 'Crown' which brings the party to all in its path with a chopped up vocal that twists itself perfectly in the drum arrangement. Looking for something more ravier check out 'Edging Forward' 5/5. DRW.

HARVEY MCKAY
THE CHASE
There is a supremely edgy sound that comes from Scotland´s underground dating back since the 90s and the glory debut of clubs such as the Arches in Glasgow. Rough, grimy, energetic and driving, with roots leading back to the hardcore scene while names such as Slam come to mind. As one of the new purveyors of this continuum, Harvey McKay fuses old school influences with shiny new production techniques which you can hear shining thru in anything he puts his name too. His brand new 2 trackers melts disco into techno, and acid into house in thru Scottish fashion. The Chase is the pick of the 2 for us here with a rolling bassline that just keeps the energy levels at that perfect level ready for the drop that slays its path into techno history! #letsrave
OUR STYLE IS YOUR STYLE - DVBBS
Electronic duo DVBBS (pronounced “dubs”) comprises brothers Christopher and Alex van den Hoef from Ontario, Canada. Initially, the duo made reggae and punk before focusing mainly on electronic music. In the early stages, the siblings joined forces with DJ Martin Sinotte, calling themselves Dubbs. In 2010, the group released the Generation Party EP and went on to tour with the likes ofSteve Aoki and LMFAO. Sinotte left the group in 2012, prompting the brothers to change their name slightly from Dubbs to DVBBS. Under the new name, they released the EPInitio, fusing a variety of influences in house, electro, reggae, and dub. Their first major success came in 2013 with the track “Tsunami,” a collaboration with DJ and producer Borgeous, released on Sander van Doorn’s label Doorn Records.
FROM SPACE WITH LOVE - MOON BOOTS
Moon Boots entered the world in the mid-1980s via Cape Canaveral. After years of service as the preferred footwear of celebrity astronauts (notably Tom Hanks), Moon Boots came to life during a classified experiment aboard the International Space Station. Little is known of what actually transpired aboard the shuttle, but in short, Moon Boots became a sentient creature, equipped with reason, intuition, and groove.  Before long, he grew tired of working for the space-military-industrial complex and found solace in the soothing sounds of underground disco and R&B boogie records. He knew it was only of matter of time before he was hung up like so many boots before him. He abandoned the program and used his savings to build a music-production studio in an unnamed U.S. location, where he is currently working.
CLAUDIA JARAMILLO – ITS MY TIME
It would be very easy to get Claudia totally wrong. On paper she doesn’t seem shy and modest. The model started her career since she was 12 and enjoyed expressing herself through music and dancing at a very early age.
When people ask “When did you become a DJ?”, she replied… “DJing has been my inspiration for years and now it’s my time to show the world of Me”
Positive energy is what is Claudia all about…When you have an attitude and vibe like Claudia you already can feel the burning “Caliente Latina” vibration into the air. Claudia loves to explore, delivering more to the crowd with the best of pumping house music combining with touch of latin and stompy percussions, focusing on passionate ‘suave’ elements and energetic moods with each track.

AUSTRALIA TO OPEN NEW VINYL PRESSING PLANT THIS YEAR
Adelaide is the location of Australia’s newest vinyl plant. Adelaide’s Roundabout Records have announced they will open the city’s first vinyl pressing plant later this year with an eye towards local and independent artists. That’s not all they’re doing either. The label has also acquired vintage HMV audio equipment and an EMI desk in order to offer recording and mastering services. Once it all comes together they’ll have the capabilities of a one-stop shop running orders from 100 to 1000. As for the pressing, the company has acquired a 1950s Neumann AM-32 from New Zealand. It wasn’t easy either, the highly desirable machine is the last of its kind, but their proximity to the country helped.
