ABOUT SER

Across the globe, centuries of unsustainable activities have damaged the aquatic, marine, and terrestrial environments that underpin our economies and societies and give rise to a diversity of wildlife and plants. SER is dedicated to reversing this degradation and restoring the earth’s ecological balance for the benefit of humans and nature.

Growing Across Western Canada

This summer, a motion to expand the geographical scope of SER-BC was passed with the goals of furthering the science and practice of ecological restoration in Canada, increasing membership, and serving existing members who live and/or practice restoration outside of British Columbia.  SER-Western Canada encompasses BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Prior to the expansion of SER-BC, there was no SER chapter between the borders of BC and Ontario.

As part of the transition to becoming SER-WC, we are looking to expand our network. Please contact us if you know of any organizations, individuals, institutions, or businesses involved in restoration-related activities across Western Canada. This will help SER-WC begin to connect these people/groups, and continue supporting ecological restoration across Canada.
