Signs of Spring
Here in Perth, on the edge of the Scottish Highlands, the day has dawned warm and sunny, even though there's still snow on the peaks of the Cairngorm mountains I can see from my window. Snowdrops and crocuses are blooming in the garden and buds are swelling on all the trees.

There's a resurgence of life, too, on our
Friends of Amida-shu online community. This is in no small part due to the behind-the-scenes efforts of Kaspa, who has tidied and pruned the site to make it much more accessible and has created the Amida-shu site.
In both, it's now much easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.

We are glad to be able to tell you that Dharmavidya is continuing to heal and to recuperate at
Eleusis. Gentle to moderate exercise in the wonderful countryside there - no major tree-felling at the moment, or travel other than short distances - will be the order of the day for sometime to come. Dharmavidya is taking what is turning into personal retreat time as an opportunity to write regular Buddhist teachings. These are a major factor in the enlivening of Friends of Amida-shu. Among the groups on the site you'll find Dharmavidya's 'Questions in the Sand' (answers to questions about issues in psychology, spirituality, philosophy and personal life). Do you have any questions you'd like to put to him? If so, visit the group and you'll find out how to ask.

There is also his
'Buddhist Teaching' group, with nineteen of his essays so far, including Nembutsu and the Jesus Prayer, Dependent Origination is Other Power, Teachers, Disciples and Students.
Does the Dharma need Up-dating?
(Well, do you think so? - add your own point of view).

Other groups include
'Buddhism Practice',
and 'Liturgy'
which includes new recordings of the entire Amida Nien Fo Chant book (thank you, Satya!)
So why not pop by and see what new or revitalised shoots of growth appeal to you there. And, don't be shy - join in discussions or add your own blog posts. A good way to enliven your own understanding and practice - and to make good friends along the way.
