garagErasmus Talents Match took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz
On the 30th of October 2018, the garagErasmus Foundation organized the second edition of “International Talents Match - 10 minutes to convince the recruiter”. The event was held in the Palacio de Congresos Europa, thanks to the cooperation of Ayuntamiento Vitoria-Gasteiz, Universidad del País Vasco, and EmpleoGune.

The main goal of this event was to provide more opportunities for young, international-mindset students to find their dream job and emphasize the importance of international experience when looking for a job. To achieve this, we collaborated with recruiters from CAF, Danobat Group, Froneri Iberia, Mercedes-Benz, Siemens Gamesa, and Tecnalia, which kindly participate in our event in order to find perfect candidates for current vacancies.

Before the interviews, all participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the profile of companies during their presentations. Later on, 40 Spanish and International young professionals had 10 minutes each to present their profiles and convince recruiter of one of the participating company that they are what company is looking for and get a chance to be called back for a complete interview.

The online community of garagErasmus - where students after their mobilities can interact with each other - was also presented during the event. All of the participants have already done their exchanges or traineeships abroad so all the possibilities that garagErasmus platform provides seem to be interesting for all of them.

garagErasmus at the "Exchange your Mind" event

On the occasion of Erasmus Days, garagErasmus took part in the “Exchange your mind” event organized by Politecnico di Milano. Three days event was organized in collaboration with Erasmus+ Indire and ESN Politecnico Milano - Erasmus Student Network to promote the importance of an experience abroad.

The Politecnico di Milano has a large number of exchange agreements with Universities all over the world, and the main aim of the event was to promote the opportunity of exchange or training abroad.
The event took place at three different locations; Campus Candiani, Politecnico di Milano, and Campus Bovisa to enable all students the opportunity to participate; during which professors and students who have lived abroad shared past experiences and introduce possibilities of mobilities worldwide. Apart from the ESN Polimi and garagErasmus information stand, participants had the opportunity to attend presentations held by experts from the business world coming from partnership universities.
A particularly promising fact is that there was a large turnout at every single event, which just goes to show that the idea of international mobilities is getting the attention it deserves.

Say Hello to gE4Yerevan!

gE4Yerevan is the latest association joining the expanding network of the garagErasmus Foundation! Here some words of presentation from its initiators: “We are enthusiastic people from Armenia. We decided to join the garagErasmus family and to establish gE4Yerevan non-profit organization in order to tackle some of the social issues that are present in our country. In particular, our aim is to be active in the sphere of education, culture and healthy lifestyle. Our target will mostly be youngsters with fewer opportunities and with learning obstacles, but we aim to go further. Yes! we have much work to do but we feel pretty self-confident and motivated for upcoming projects and our members are rather experienced in social and organizational work so we are accepting the challenge and looking forward to start our activities and development! With Love, the gE4Yerevan team”.
