SEND Call for Hosting Organizations under
Erasmus+_Mobility in Higher Education

SEND Mobility Consortium, of which garagErasmus Foundation is a partner organisation, launched a second call inviting organisations to collaborate within "Universities for EU Projects" under the ERASMUS + Higher Education individual mobility programme.

Such entities can have the opportunity to internationalize their staff and enriching their know-how, by offering a traineeship to students or a training period to HEI staff in the field of Social Innovation. Moreover, this is a way to foster European mobility and cooperation between Higher Education and the labour market.

The excellent outcome of garagErasmus in Colombia

A new bridge has been created between Latin America and Europe for students, professionals and staff members of universities, thanks also to the support of ESAA. This is the brilliant outcome of the presence of garagErasmus Foundation in Colombia, in the cities of Bogota and Medellin during the "AULA ITALIA" event, the second edition of the fair organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Italy in Colombia, where many Italian HEIs presented their high level courses open to foreign student.

The representatives of the Foundation in the cities of Milan and Turin, Carlo Bitetto and Simone Papa, held few talks and interacted with hundreds of Colombian students from local Universities and High Schools, with many staff members, eager at living such an enriching experience abroad. Carlo Bitetto, Director of the Foundation, has expressed its satisfaction for this experience, that officially formalizes the positioning of garagErasmus in South America.

Welcome to our network, gE4Kaunas!

garagErasmus Foundation is proud to announce that we have one more member on board! This month a new local chapter of our association has been created in Kaunas, Lithuania. This new gE4 will be the first one representing the Erasmus Generation professional in the Baltic Region.

Founders of gE4Kaunas (Social Effect) are a group of youngsters and professionals working on topics such as entrepreneurship, personal & professional development, internationalisation, contemporary challenges, inclusion and promoting people’s healthy lifestyle, particularly in rural areas. gE4Kaunas is looking forward to making Erasmus+ opportunities accessible to the general public, with a special focus on groups that have been traditionally affected by social exclusion, creating innovative learning tools and participating in exchanges of good practices.

gE4Athens promotes EU values through the #MindtheGap project

The #MindTheGap project aimed to empower youth in Greece to act as advocates of the European Union idea and values. It was co-funded by ESAA and co-organized by GaragErasmus4Athens & EMA Greece. 100 youth residing in Greece from 10 grassroots organizations and individually were trained on subjects such as project management, pitching, advocacy, submission of winning proposals and Erasmus+ opportunities through a 2-day interactive workshop!
Konstantinos Maragkos and Giannis Ladeas, from gE4Athens, promoted the project Laissez-Passer and encouraged more Greeks to participate in the next edition. Konstatinos was the winner of the first edition with his impactful initiative "WE AfriHug" and Giannis was second in the second edition in Malaga. After sharing their experience, the participants showed great interest in the initiatives of garagErasmus and expressed their interest to participate in Laissez-Passer, 3rd edition.

Brexit should not jeopardise UK students to participate in exchange programmes

The Universities UK International and Universities UK (UUKi) re-launched their #SupportStudyAbroad campaign asking the British Government to clearly commit to fund study abroad opportunities in the upcoming years.

As a member of the Erasmus Student and Alumni Alliance, garagErasmus invites you to join this campaign for ensuring that current and future UK students still have the opportunity to participate in exchange programmes, notably Erasmus+, or to obtain funding for studying abroad in case of a no-deal Brexit.

garagErasmus, in the front line to bring young people to the polls

Erasmus Vote Power was aimed at motivating the Erasmus Generation to go to vote for the EU Elections 2019 and to explain the complicated procedures expats need to follow to cast their vote from the hosting country.

The EVP campaign reached Erasmus students & Alumni, workers and volunteers currently on mobility within the European Union to raise awareness of the European Elections 2019, motivate them to go voting and to help them understanding its procedures.
