Be part of Social Innovation with SEND Call!

Accredited by the Italian National Agency INDIRESEND Mobility Consortium, of which garagErasmus Foundation is a partner organisation together with Consorzio Arca, launched this month an initiative in order to share with you all the voices of the protagonists who had an international mobility experience in the sector of the Social Innovation thanks to the project Erasmus+ "Universities for Eu Projects".

SEND Mobility Consortium, implements traineeships and mobility experiences within the field of Social Innovation, which is a wide growing sector at European level. This is the reason why the added value of this project is to create a mobility and training system around this topic, in order to contribute to the development and the exchange of new and innovative ideas and processes.

Social innovation is a new social practice, process, product or programme that aim at meeting social needs in a better way than the existing solutions. These ideas are created with the goal of extending and strengthening civil society.

Social Innovation includes different sectors and a wide range of professional profiles; in other words, it includes all jobs which trigger positive social and economic changes within the local community.

If you wish to take part in the program and leave for an Erasmus experience or share your story, please contact SEND. We will listen to your questions and experiences!

gE's views on the new EU Commission's structure

garagErasmus Foundation welcomes EC President Von der Leyen commitment to Erasmus+ programme and vows to triple its funding for the 2021-2027 period, but laments confusion over allocation of the portfolio, starting from the worrying fact that no Commissioner is distinctively assigned to education

In fact, education powers have been split between two Commissioners considering that the overview is assigned to the Vice-President-designate for Protecting our European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas, an ambiguous and broad portfolio that does not convey a clear political view and priorities.

Hundreds of organisations & volunteers involved into the EYVOL project so far

Already in the very first phase of implementation, the EYVOL partnership is achieving high results in training volunteers and developing best-practices in sport volunteerism.
The EYVOL project seeks to train volunteers on how to use sport as a means to promote social inclusion, intercultural dialogue,
peace building and socio-economic development in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Kick-start for the IYE-LABS project

IYE-LABs project seeks to train 100 young Europeans to face the most pressing social, environmental and cultural challenges. Young people participating in the laboratory will experience in first person a training and self-knowledge process aimed at better understanding the dilemmas and social, cultural and environmental challenges both at a local and global level to carry out innovation and ethical actions and build local citizenship.

garagErasmus ASBL is leading communication and dissemination actions for IYE-LABs
project, and is currently implementing the communication plan that had already been formulated in spring 2019.

In this short video Erasmus+ Romania explains us how to write the goals of Erasmus+ projects using the SMARTER structure.

Did you know that 27% of Erasmus Alumni have met their long-term partner while on Erasmus? The EU Commission estimates that around one million babies are likely to have been born to Erasmus couples since 1987.

This study, published by the EU Commission in May 2019, seeks to assess the impact of Erasmus+ mobilities on staff, students & higher education institutions. It is based on almost 77,000 survey responses from these groups.
