Join us for the First Edition of the Learning Garage (22-26 February 2021)!

Between Monday 22 & Friday 26 February 2021, garagErasmus Foundation & the Italian National Agency Erasmus+ INDIRE will offer a series of webinars on Zoom with experts of the job market.

Five speakers will provide future graduates with job hunting and professional skills, and giving them concrete answers and suggestions on the job market change during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will also be able to raise their questions and feedback in an interactive part.

EUth Pages for Europe: engaging youngsters with the Conference on the Future of Europe

Don’t miss this opportunity to shape the future of Europe! Co-funded by the European Parliament, the EUth Pages for Europe project will develop a series of activities in order to make the Erasmus Generation have an impact on the Conference on the Future of Europe.

How? By involving the international and local communities in the discussions about the most important challenges the European Union is facing.

Democracy is Europe: Remember to revive!

Co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union, Democracy is Europe (DEMEU) will organise 6 events encouraging participants from Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Czechia, Estonia and Poland to reflect on the centrality of the European ideals in the revolutions of 1989-1991 and on the future of Europe and its values in a region where ideas of Europe and liberal democracy are seriously challenged with the emergence of nationalist and populist movements.

The 6i Dirs Project opens a Call for 9 MSCA PhD positions

 

The University of Deusto -one of garagErasmus member universities- opened on 21 January 2020 the second call for applicants of the 6i Dirs project, which will be open until 5 March 2021. There is a choice of 16 selected topics for recruitment. 9 researchers will be recruited in the 2021 call.

Supported and co-funded by the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme and over 40 partners, the 6i Dirs project aims at attracting a total of 19 top-level international Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) for high-quality PhD training.

First sessions of the Accelerator in December and January


We are glad to announce that, after its approval in November 2020, garagErasmus Foundation and Erasmus+ INDIRE started implementing THE + OF ERASMUS project through the Accelerator of Italian Language and Culture.

These four sessions offered the opportunity for exchange students who cannot join face to face courses of Italian to improve their basic-intermediate level of Italian and widen their knowledge about Italy thanks to the wonderful team of professors of the Dante Alighieri Language Institute of Recanati: Valentina Andreucci, Gianni Balbini, Angelo Liberati, Anna Poeti and Valeria Savi.

gE supports the campaign "Truth and Justice for Giulio Regeni"

garagErasmus Foundation supports the campaign conducted by EuropaNOW to raise awareness and fight for justice in Giulio Regeni’s case.

Giulio Regeni was an Italian Cambridge University graduate researching on Egypt’s independent trade unions. Four years ago he was abducted and murdered in Cairo. He represents just one of the many victims of grave human rights abuse. A reality that the European Union and its citizens should be aware of and never stop fighting!

FIGURES

Employed foreign citizens are more likely than nationals to be over-qualified for their job: the EU-27 over-qualification rate in 2019 was 44% for non-EU citizens and 33% for citizens of other EU Member States compared with 21% for nationals.

The highest share of over-qualified non-EU nationals was recorded in Greece (78%), followed by Italy (68%) and Spain (62%).
