Raising godly leaders. This is what God called me to eight years ago when I started serving in Tijuana, Mexico. Everyone deserves a chance. Everyone needs Jesus. How do we help kids to get out of the poverty cycle they are born into? God can use anyone to make a difference in this world! Even me and you!
All of this keeps me motivated day after day to reach the poor with the message of Jesus salvation, hope and love. As Pastor Jose Luis pulls up to the church the kids come running to him, overflowing with hugs and smiles! Thirty-five kids are attending the summer Breakfast Bible Club and receiving a healthy hot meal, a bible lesson taught by our intern Guadalupe and a fun hour of games. They all want love and attention. Breakfast Club photos click here
Serving together as a family is a great way to see life from other eyes. Morgan and our first “family group” spent two days providing youth sports, women’s crafts, food and fun for the kids. They brought journals for the youth with questions that challenged their minds and hearts. Sunday morning all the California kids served the Mexican kids pancakes in front of the church. No one wanted to leave. The youngest of these little missionaries is 2 years old and this is her 3rd trip to serve with us!
Nachos for sale! Chips! Used clothing for a dime! That’s how our youth raised the money to go to the YUGO camp in Rosarito for a week. Six youth from Vista del Valle, four kids from Niños con Vision orphanage and our intern, Alfredo, are happily serving at a local (Rosarito) church. What a change for many of them who live in small shacks and rarely go anywhere! God is touching their lives, using them for His glory and growing Alfredo in ministry every day. Raising godly leaders for Jesus!

What better way to spend your time than taking orphanage kids out for a day. In June, the NCCC team took 30 kids from Ninos de Fe to the park, painted faces, rode trains and visited the zoo. July we are going to a ranch with two big swimming pools and more games and love. These kids live in one big house with very little patio space to play. How do you think they feel about going on these outings?
We are happy to report that the Lord has provided three new monthly supporters and several “special gifts” during the last month. Why am I always to amazed when He answers our prayers and that He cares about our every need? Praise God and please keep praying that the ministry can be fully supported and that a building will be provided for the church by year end. We thank God for our super faithful supporters who make this all possible!
The Tijuana School Program is going great with lots of backpacks, shoes and scholarships provided. The kids are so excited to be going to school with everything they need. Back to school is more exciting than Christmas for most of them! Please pray we can get everything done in the next 10 days. Praise God for every person that donated to the school program and for the Club Dust fundraiser in Laguna Beach that was very successful. Hoping that your summer is full of fun and God!
