Increasing Wages is One of the Key Indicators of
a Good Economy
Increasing wages is usually associated with increasing inflation (see the BFM newsletter about inflation ), indicating a growing economy.
With improving economic conditions in the U.S., we are seeing an upward trend in expectations of higher wages. The job market has improved considerably and the number of people available per job opening is back to pre-crisis level. The number of companies planning to raise wages has also gone up, and all these charts indicate that we might be seeing higher wages going into the future.
