Billy Hotchkiss

I've been working at Jonathan's Landing since 2006. I am originally from Thomaston CT, born in Waterbury CT.  I now live in Stuart FL, with the love of my life, Lauren, and we have two beautiful daughters Lilah, 6 and Haven 3.  I enjoy the Florida beaches, with my family and great music.  I also enjoy the Florida lifestyle, and cooking for friends and family .

JL POA Building Progress

Still 3 weeks ahead of schedule!  Outside we’re completing the site grading and repositioning underground electrical and irrigation lines to accommodate the new entryway.  Interiorly we’re installing the electric conduit, HVAC and other systems before closing up the walls.  Roof tiles and windows should be arriving soon.  Things are really shaping up!

Your Security System is monitored solely by Jonathan’s Landing Security Staff.

If you receive a letter from a 3rd party vendor claiming they have not received a signal from your alarm system, and ask you to go to their website, or call a toll free number to resolve this issue, please ignore as this is a marketing ploy to get you to switch to their monitoring service

Algae Control Program

As you know, we started in January with adding Biozyme to the lakes. (This helps reduce the amount of nutrients in the water which combined with the warmer summer temperatures, causes the algae blooms.)  Three underwater circulators were also added to help increase water movement.

Concurrently, the Fresh Water Lake Committee (FWLC) is working with the POA’s lake maintenance company to come up with an overall plan to revitalize the lakes and optimize their health moving forward.

One major issue already identified was the removal of the plantings at the water’s edge or what are called littoral plants.  These are the living cleansers of the lake and are vital to its health.  Together we are working hard and look forward to enjoying fresh, healthy water!

In the 20 years since the beginning of Jonathan’s Landing Cares, we have been blessed to support local agencies with hundreds of thousands of dollars and many thousands of volunteer hours.  Our members are happy to use their time and talents, serving to make our community a better place for local families. It is gratifying to see that our efforts are making a difference in the community and in the lives of those we serve.
