A skin-Friendly Breakfast
All of the recipes on my NutriNatters blog are designed to be anti-inflammatory i.e.  based on foods to nourish cells and enhance immune system function.  Here's a small selection for you to enjoy:
Start the day with a breakfast packed with nuts and seeds. This easy to make granola is naturally sweetened and will set you up for the day. Pour on home-made almond milk made with just three ingredients.  Before long, you'll be glowing with health!

Eat Your Way to Healthy Skin

Your skin is amazing: it's a complex organ reflecting your overall health.  If you want healthy-looking skin and a glowing complexion, it has  to be nurtured from within.  Expensive skin creams can't match the skin-enhancing properties of many everyday foods. Invest in these skin-friendly nutrients and see the difference in your complexion two to three months down the line. Are you ready for this 3-step challenge?
Skin Food
  • Eat your greens!  Advice from the University of St. Andrew’s is to eat more vegetables and fruit containing carotenoids.  These compounds impart orange, red and yellow pigments to carrots, sweet potato, squashes and apricots; they are also found in many dark green vegetables such as spinach and kale. Students in the study who ate just two extra portions of vegetables and fruit a day developed a healthy and attractive skin tone over a six-week period
  • Are you eating enough fat? Unless you regularly eat oily fish, nuts and seeds, your skin could be crying out for the natural oils that keep it soft, smooth and supple. Serve a colourful mixture of  stir-fried vegetables with salmon for a skin-friendly meal
  • It may be obvious but we all forget to do it! Water is essential to flush out impurities and keep skin hydrated. If you're one of the many people whose water intake is low, having a few more glasses of water a day could make a noticeable difference to your complexion (not to mention your energy levels).
