Trauma and The Brain:
Applications for Clinicians Working with the Spectrum of Trauma
Courage Worldwide, Inc. is pleased to announce a one-day, trauma-focused training for the community on June 28, 2016 in the Sacramento, California region by industry experts and mental health professionals. Courage Worldwide, is an international non-profit organization, providing residential treatment to adolescents who have been victims of sex trafficking. In this line of work, we are fortunate to partner with other like-minded organizations and mental health professionals who desire to bring the highest level of care to vulnerable, traumatized individuals. This one-day training will help you do just that. You will learn about the effects trauma has on the brain and behavior as well as ways we can meet the needs of those who have experienced complex trauma.
If you are a clinician working with trauma victims, a parent of a victim, and/or a community member who is interested in becoming informed on the subject of trauma, this is sure to be a valuable training experience. We look forward to seeing you there.
