The Council Admin staff returned to the Parish Office on 14 September for two weeks but due to the latest Government guidelines will be working from home again from Monday 28 September 2020.

We can still be reached by email, phone our website or Facebook page.

Football at Lapstone Playing Fields

Football at Lapstone Playing Fields resumed at the beginning of September, with three regular clubs comprising 12 teams using the site.  The Pavilion remains closed and the teams are using one changing room for the use of the toilet only.  No changing facilities are available.
Remembrance Day Parade
This year, due to Government guidelines on COVID-19,  it is not practical or sensible to hold any kind of event either in the sports hall, church or at the war memorial, as it would inevitably cause a gathering.  Therefore, it has been decided to hold a “virtual” event which will include a mix of both “live” and pre-recorded footage.
Further details will be published on social media through St Thomas’s Church, and the Parish Council’s Facebook page and website.
Fair Oak Library
The Full Council on 21 September 2020 endorsed the recommendations of the Task and Finish Group who had held discussions with the County Council’s Libraries Service and considered that it may be possible to mitigate the loss of the formal Library at Fair Oak by establishing an informal community library in its place. This would be run and staffed by volunteers and could be set up through a community interest (CIC) company.
This project will rely on volunteers to make it viable.  If you would like to volunteer to be part of this project, please email the Clerk.

Eastleigh Basics Bank

We continue to collect for the Eastleigh Basic Bank at the Woodland Community Centre  on Wednesdays and the Parish Office on Thursdays.  Donations can be made between 10 am and 2 pm.
