When I started as Gifted Minds Prosper Board President in the fall of 2019, I had no idea what was ahead of us! It’s been a unique couple of years, and I am very thankful for the teachers, students, parents and board members I’ve served with during this time. We had a great fall symposium in 2019 that was well attended and included a successful child activity option for parents. In 2019 we were able to fulfill all the teacher grant requests we received from GT teachers (including Rubiks cubes, microscopes and coding tools) to help the teachers expand learning in the classrooms. In spring 2020, despite a pandemic hitting about 10 days before our 2020 Camp Fair, the board pivoted and created a Virtual Camp Fair online to showcase our summer camp vendors. We started the 2021 school year by continuing to provide grant items and tools to help teachers and support virtual learning. Finally, our 2021 Summer Camp Fair (virtual and in-person) was well attended and a great success for families and vendors. We look forward to continuing to grow this exciting event!

Be on the lookout for new programs, topics and resources in the 2021-22 school year as we continue to support our district’s GT families, teachers and students.
Thank you again to the board members I’ve served with during my time as President and Seth Ruthledge, Director of Advanced Academics and his continued leadership to help GMP find places to help serve.
We also thank all those in the Gifted Minds community that have supported us in the many ways of attending events, joining our membership and purchasing spirtwear. Including our popular PHS/RHHS birds shirts and the new glow-in-the-dark light bulb shirt – get yours here: www.giftedmindsprosper.com
We look forward to a bright future and always have space for anyone that wants to join us on the journey. Reach out to us at info@giftedmindsprosper.com for more information or to find out how you can be involved.
