National Library Week
April 4 - 10

The theme for National Library Week 2021 is Welcome to Your Library
During the pandemic, library workers continue to exceed their communities' demands and adapt resources and services to meet their users' needs during these challenging times. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer endless opportunities to transform lives through education and lifelong learning.

Take N Make
Our Take N Make for this event is an at-home scavenger hunt activity!
Children of all ages are encouraged to explore their backyards and note their experiences through their four senses: sight, touch, sound, and smell. Included in the Take N Makes are pictures of common animal tracks, a four senses checklist, a drawing activity, and a list of books to read in your backyard.
Storytime in our Community is a series of storytimes that take place at various locations throughout Jamestown and nearby towns. These virtual storytimes are available on Facebook Live.
Wednesday, April 14, at 10:30 am, Joanna will be at the Resource Center to learn about what they do in our community.
Tuesday, April 20 at 10:30 am, Oliver will be talking to Jason Sample, General Manager at WRFA, about what it's like to be on the radio!
We are excited to announce our new fundraiser - The Jim Roselle Community Scavenger Hunt! Saturday, May 22, from 10:00-2:00. The cost is $20 per person, and children 12 and under are free.

Stay tuned for details on how to register. Proceeds benefit the Prendergast Library's new outreach programs!
