A MESSAGE TO YOU FROM IPMN MEMBER LEWIS PINCH

The Funds Development Committee of IPMN is pleased to share insights from members on why supporting our mission and mandate matters.  We commend to your attention this letter from Nebraska member Lewis Pinch.

Dear Friends of Peace and Justice and of IPMN,

We know that the world has many problems right now but as followers of Jesus we must not forget the “least of these and help as much as we can, despite the problems around us.  The members and friends of the Israel/Palestine Mission Network are working in solidarity with people in Israel/Palestine who are living in difficult and sometimes intolerable situations.  IPMN is trying to help bring Peace to the Holy Land with Justice.

Each year since 2005 we have gathered a collection of money to be distributed to and through the Presbyterian Church and other groups that are trying to bring Peace and Justice.  In order to do this, we are asking you for some money.

Yes, we are asking right up front for money!  I understand that this appeal will go to almost 1000 people who have or have had a connection with IPMN.  So if you can donate $10, $20, $100 or even a thousand, many, many folks in Israel/Palestine will benefit.  If we each gave $50 we could make our goal of helping others this year.  So please give what you can.

I am writing this letter after three major events have occurred in the US—the first two have used up hundreds of millions of dollars and maybe more.  The third will, hopefully, bring much more than simply money to the table.  The first two are the Super Bowl and the New Hampshire Primary.  The third is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.

Peace be upon you all,

Prayerfully,

Lewis Pinch
