Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra Soloists perform some of the most haunting arias from J.S. Bach cantatas in a mashup with English songwriter David Sylvian’s songs based on a story concept of conductor Martin Haselboeck, Frank Hoffmann, and Virgil Widrich.
In Edgar Allan Poe’s story a nameless man proclaims that he is sane, despite the wild narrative he is about to convey. No rationality can explain the phantasms he finds himself haunted by over the course of many months, involving arson, a black cat, and the death of his wife.
