Dear Friends,

We are delighted to present our first virtual Festival, available for a limited time during our regularly-scheduled Festival week (June 21-28) and the week after. Artistic director Elizabeth Blumenstock has gathered together a fun and intriguing collection of performances that she will introduce on camera. While spending time at home like so many of us, she has also recorded two new solo violin videos of her own, exclusively for you, our much-missed supporters.

To echo the pattern of our regular Festival week we have grouped these video offerings into five playlist “concerts” plus a bonus “outside the Bachs” compilation. However, the playlists can be watched anytime from today, June 21, through July 5 in any order, at your own convenience. To view our virtual Festival:

  • Click on the PLAY links included within the text and photos directly below to watch the playlists one-by-one, or as a single continuous feed (2hrs, 20mins).
  • We recommend clicking on “CC” in the bottom right-hand-corner of the introductory spoken videos as they begin for closed captions, since volume levels vary.
  • Additionally, you may wish to download or print out this pdf containing program and performer information for every playlist, plus sung texts and translations. Biographies for those musicians who were to feature in our original, live, 40th season this week, may be found at bmf-cdm.org/artists.
  • Links to these videos and sung texts may also be found on our website at bmf-cdm.org/videos until July 5, should you wish to recommend our virtual Festival to others.
