Winter Musicale:
‘Winds of the Western World’
Please help make possible the 40th annual Festival season June 21-28, 2020 — “Grand Tour of Europe and Beyond” — by attending the Winter Musicale on February 16th, as we take our first musical journey of 2020 in celebration of four decades of the Baroque Music Festival!

The Winter Musicale is our primary annual fundraising event — an entertaining performance followed by a fundraising dinner with delicious offerings, courtesy of Suzanne’s Catering. Don’t wait to RSVP for this wonderful evening!
Directed by Elizabeth Blumenstock, this year's hour-long private recital will feature a grand tour of Baroque wind instrument concertos by TelemannVivaldi, and Fasch, in which the Festival's Artistic Director will be joined by Baroque wind specialists: New York-based Baroque bassoonist Dominic Teresirecorder player Alexandra Opsahl, and Baroque oboist Stephen Hammer. (Pictured above, left to right: Blumenstock, Teresi, Hammer, and Opsahl.)

Artist Interview

“When I finally got my hands on an actual Baroque bassoon I was struck by how playing on a period instrument brought the music to life in ways I hadn’t before imagined. Playing this instrument was a real revelation.” Dominic Teresi
