Dear Friends,

As announced in our April newsletter, we have taken the regrettable, but necessary, decision to cancel the 40th Baroque Music Festival in June. If you purchased tickets and have not yet notified us whether you wish to receive a full refund or make a donation, please contact us.

Thank you for your donations
The Festival’s directors and musicians are grateful for your recent contributions to our Festival Musicians’ Fund, which has already made an immediate positive impact on our performers, and will help strengthen the future of the Festival. All of our 2020 contributors are listed here, on our website. Thank you!

Find out what's planned for June

Elizabeth Blumenstock, our Artistic Director, with a message about online performances planned for June 21-28:

Hello again dear Festival family! I’m delighted to share that we will be offering a little “video-fest” during our season week in June to celebrate 40 years of the Baroque Music Festival with you at home. I am currently working on a curated collection of video performances by a selection of our musicians, which may include music I programmed for this year's Festival. While we cannot meet in person for a while longer, we can enjoy together the “perfect harmony” of Bach, Purcell, Vivaldi and others from within our homes. I am also hoping to include some “outside the Bachs” videos featuring our Festival artists performing non-Baroque music. Many of us have passions for music other than that of the Baroque era, and I think you may find these contributions fascinating and enjoyable—I certainly have! I hope you will join us (online) in June.

Please watch your email in-boxes in the run up to June 21-28 for our next newsletter with the video links. Until then, please stay safe and stay healthy.

With our very best regards,

Patricia Bril, President, on behalf of the Board of Directors; and
Elizabeth Blumenstock, Artistic Director
