Congratulations to all the Jack Petchey Winners on achieving their Awards last Thursday.

Improving Access to Guiding Project

A huge thanks to all who attended the Improving Access to Guiding County Meeting on 10th June! The input and ideas from all who attended were extremely useful as the project team begins to make plans for the months ahead.

Improving Access to Guiding (IA2G) is an 18-month pilot project being launched in collaboration between Girlguiding HQ and Essex West, to build a new model of bringing on board new volunteers. We are looking at best practice and innovative ideas related to welcome, induction, training and placement, and hope both to improve the experience of new volunteers and to reduce some of the administrative burden on existing leaders.

We would love to hear from anyone is who planning a recruitment drive or welcome/social/training event for new volunteers in the coming months. Please contact Penny on
penelope.grenfell@girlguiding.org.uk if you would be willing to let us attend one of these events and perhaps try out some new induction materials with your latest recruits!

Many thanks,
Penny, Sarah and Louise
The IA2G team

It would be much appreciated if District Commissioners and Level Contacts could pass on the information in this newsletter to anyone in their District that does not have access to e-mail. Section Leaders are asked to cascade to Young Leaders and D of E / V-Volunteers. There are still some people not receiving their copy of the newsletter as their email address on Go! is incorrect. Please check and make sure that your details are up to date. If you do not wish to receive future copies of the E-Bulletin, please use the facility at the end of this issue to unsubscribe.
