I would like to wish all the ladies, who are working on their Leadership Qualification, a very Happy Christmas and a Productive New Year and hope to hear from you soon with completed books.

Each Division now has one nominated person who will apply to the office for Leadership Books and coordinate the New Leaders in their Division.  Thank you for volunteering  to do this very valued job and this will help our ladies in the office and me keep tabs on our New Leaders so that we can offer them support when required.

What do we do?
We are a group of 9 who meet a few times a year to consider how the membership of our County can be supported in their voluntary work.
This covers helping with:
  • The Leadership Qualification – organising books and providing mentors.
  • Providing a variety of training opportunities.
  • Acknowledging and rewarding achievements by way of the Award scheme.
  • Ensuring our membership is inclusive to those with special needs.
  • Offering support to commissioners
  • Working with other sub-groups of Essex West for the benefit of the County membership.
  • Working with the County Executive and liaising with the office.

Dear all,
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our IA2G feedback event last month! We had an extremely productive evening and got some really helpful feedback from those who came.
This project would be impossible without input from all of you wonderful volunteers so that we can find out what works and what doesn’t from the people who know best. So for anyone who couldn’t make it last week, we would love to get your feedback on our new resources too. You can find the resources here, and we’d be really grateful if you could fill out this short survey to give us your opinions! We’ll be using your comments and feedback to adapt the resources in the next couple of months.
In the meantime, if you would like us to help organise a recruitment event in your area, or you would be interested in helping us make a vlog with tips and ideas for new volunteers, please get in touch! Write to Penny on
Thanks for being part of Improving Access to Guiding!

It would be much appreciated if District Commissioners and Level Contacts could pass on the information in this newsletter to anyone in their District that does not have access to e-mail. Section Leaders are asked to cascade to Young Leaders and D of E / V-Volunteers. There are still some people not receiving their copy of the newsletter as their email address on Go! is incorrect. Please check and make sure that your details are up to date. If you do not wish to receive future copies of the E-Bulletin, please use the facility at the end of this issue to unsubscribe.
